KATHLEEN (KAY) MORTON It is with deep sorrow that our family announces the passing of our Mom and Grandma, Kay Morton at the Health Sciences Centre on July 24, 2010 at the age of 87. Left to cherish her memory is daughter Chris Thibodeau and grandson Paul (Karen), granddaughter Cheryl (Karl) and son Kevin (Susan). Kay was born in Winnipeg in 1923 and lived most of her life in the North End, where she believed all of the best people lived. Kay raised her two children while working in the restaurant supply business, first at Williams Restaurant Supply and then ended her career at United Restaurant Supply. Her favourite past time was running bingo at the Brooklands/ Weston Legion where she was a long time member and also at the Weston Community Club. Anyone who knows Kay remembers her favourite way to start a conversation Did you hear the story about and then a joke would follow ending in her great big boisterous laugh. This laugh she kept until the bitter end. Our family wishes to thank all the very special angels at Beacon Hill Lodge for their loving care and concern for our Mom over the past seven years and a special thank you to Mary. In accordance with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place with no funeral. She wanted to be remembered by the smile on your face.
