NORMA CHRISTINE ROSS Norma passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2010. Norma was born in Russell, MB on June 19, 1927. She is survived by the next generation: nieces Anne Greig (Ron) of Binscarth, MB, Shirley Sass (Delbert) of Creston, BC and nephew Ken Adams of Winnipeg. Her childhood years were spent on the family farm near Binscarth, MB. She graduated from Gordon Bell High School in Winnipeg in 1945, returning to Binscarth for one year before enrolling to Angus School of Commerce in 1946. In 1947 she was employed by the chartered accountants firm of Glendinning, Jarret, Gray and Roberts in Winnipeg. In 1949 she joined the Manitoba Hydro Electric Board in Pine Falls staying there until she transferred to Winnipeg, remaining with what would become Manitoba Hydro until 1987 when she retired. Upon retirement, she undertook a second career as caregiver to her five older siblings in turn. Her joys in life were family and travel forgetting detailed attention to none. Her memory conjures up unique appreciation from all those who knew her. A memorial service will be held at Crescent Fort Rouge United Church on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with reception to follow. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date in Binscarth Cemetery.
