EDWARD GARY LELLIOTT September 10, 1936 - August 6, 2010 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Edward Gary Lelliott on Friday, August 6, 2010 in Trail, British Columbia after a brief but serious illness. Gary will be fondly remembered by his loving wife of 30 years Sharon, son Blaine Lelliott of Winnipeg, son Patrick Lelliott (Renata) of Winnipeg, stepson David Chauncey (Vickie) of Calgary, stepson Jeff Chauncey of Calgary, and his four grandchildren which he was very proud of, Laura Lelliott of Winnipeg, Jordan Chauncey of Calgary, Dieter Chauncey and Caitlin Chauncey of Cranbrook, BC. He is also survived by his brother Brian Lelliott (Linda) of Florida, sister Eleanor White of Winnipeg, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Gary was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba which is where he spent his first 31 years and then moved to Calgary, Alberta for his next 31 years. Until his retirement, he worked in the plumbing and heating industry, lastly as a Project Manager for S.E. Johnson Ltd. He retired in 1998 and he and his wife Sharon moved to Castlegar, British Columbia where Gary enjoyed his membership in the Masonic Lodge, volunteer work as Seniors Counsellor and other capacities. Gary loved the outdoors and was a master bird bander involved in bluebird and hummingbird research. He and Sharon travelled the globe as they were avid birders and enjoyed many winter escapes. Gary was a chef extraordinaire, grew beautiful rose gardens and was an artist when it came to stained glass and woodworking. Gary enjoyed helping anyone and was a friend to all. In respect of Gary's wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
