Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMATEO G. HIPOLITO February 24, 1928 - August 23, 2010 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest father, grandfather and great-grandfather Mateo Hipolito, 82 years of age, on August 23, 2010 at Seven Oaks General Hospital. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Carmelita Hipolito. Born in San Nicolas, Arayat, Pampanga, Philippines on February 24, 1928, he married Carmelita in 1951. During the next 20 years, they had their 11 children and in 1981 they immigrated to Winnipeg. A tailor by trade, he always loved making clothes for his ever-expanding family, especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, great patience, kindness and quick humour. Left to cherish his memory are his 11 children, their spouses, 34 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren with one on the way; Lorna and Eduardo, Jerry and Nora, Arnel and Elizabeth, Enrico and Elvira, Rolando and Rose, Norberto and Noemi, Fe and Enrico, Roslen and Natividad, Rogelio and Rowena, Nixon and Vilma, Rene and Randy. Viewing will take place on Saturday, August 28 and Sunday, August 29 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., with a special prayer by Fr. Dado Parrenas on Sunday. Mass will be officiated by Fr. Rainerio Sarce on Monday, August 30 at St. Edward the Confessor Church at 10:00 a.m., with reception to follow at Buffet Square on McPhillips at 1:00 p.m. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Ernesto Milambiling, Dr. Andrew Maksymiuk, and the staff of Seven Oaks General Hospital, 3rd Floor, Unit 6 for all their compassionate care, as well as all the extended family and friends who have expressed their love and support in this difficult time. It is because of you that we know he was so beloved and cherished that he truly is at peace reunited with his wife. Tay, Lolo, Apo, we truly look up to you and miss you, but know that you are in a better place with Ima. Please watch over us from heaven and continue to bless and guide us for the rest of our lives. We love you. GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550
