JUNE FAY (ANDERSON) LOWES It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of June Fay (Anderson) Lowes on August 24, 2010. She will be remembered by her four sons; Christian (Daniel), Darren (Jennelle), Bradley (Barry) and Michael (Marilyn) and her grandchildren Aaron, Erikka, Emily, Dylan, Evan, Ashton, Carter and Meghan. All of her sisters, Wanda, Sharon, Colleen, Judy and Gail are left to celebrate her memory while her only brother, Lyle, predeceased her in 2008. June will be remembered and forever cherished by her husband of many years Dale, who provided strength, courage and support throughout June's life. June was born in Emo, Ontario, in 1947 and spent her childhood years in Stratton and Pinewood until relocating to Rainy River as a teenager. At eighteen she married Dale and started a family. Her life was a busy one with working at Lowes Lumber, establishing and managing the Beef Hut Restaurant while raising four boys. She was the chair person of the Lions Club Youth Exchange program and a Boy Scout Leader yet always found the time to enjoy her passion for painting water colours. Her love for traveling brought her many places in the world but by far her most treasured place was Lowes Island in Lake of the Woods. The Lowes boys will always remember their mom for the many summers at the lake, the numerous Halloween costumes she made and for always inviting the neighborhood kids into their home and to the island as if they were her own family. Above everything, the whole community will remember June for her glamorous appearance and the pride she took in looking her very best each and every day. A celebration to remember June will be held at St. James Anglican Church in Rainy River Ontario on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Services are provided by The Northridge Funeral Home in Emo, Ontario. Flowers are graciously declined and should you wish to memorialize June, donations to the Heart and Stroke Association are welcome.
