LAURA MAE RENOLDS After a brave fight with cancer, Laura Mae Renolds (Klump) passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 73 years. Remaining to forever cherish Laura's memory is her dearly beloved husband Allan, of 49 years of marriage; son Shane; two brothers, Laurie (Irene) and Churchill; sister Dolly; sisters-in-law, Gerry, Vera and Roberta as well as numerous nieces; nephews; extended relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father Jacob; mother Nellie and brother Bill. Laura was born in The Pas, Mb. in 1937 and grew up in Poplarfield, Mb as a young girl. She worked for MTS for 17 years, rising to the position of supervisor. Laura was passionate about volunteering her time with many community organizations, and was an avid bowler for 32 years. She loved and devoted her life to her family, putting others before herself and always keeping an immaculate house and yard. Laura will be remembered as a loving, caring and generous person by all who knew her. Her spirit for life was a constant inspiration to us and continued throughout her last days. In keeping with Laura's wishes, a private Family Service has been held. On Sunday, September 5, 2010 friends and family are invited to a Service honouring Laura at 10:00 a.m. in the Crescentwood Community Centre, 1170 Corydon Ave. at Rockwood Street. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all including Drs. Piotr Czaykowski and others. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Laura's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
