LENA RUBIN It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lena Rubin on August 30, 2010, after a short stay at the Concordia Hospital. She was a resident at the Simkin Centre Personal Care Home. She was predeceased by her husband Bernard and her two children, Melvin and Gail. She is survived by her beloved children Susan Rubin of Winnipeg and Sidney (Jackie) Rubin of Toronto and her two grandchildren, Justine and Jonathan Rubin of Toronto. Also, she leaves behind her sister Freda Siegal of Montreal, brother Lou (Edie) Brickman of Toronto, and sister-in-law Clara Brickman of Winnipeg. The funeral service for Lena is being held Thursday, September 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charity of your choice.
