Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANGELA (DAWN) WEPPLER (nee PRATT) April 10, 1946 - August 25, 2010 On Wednesday, August 25, 2010 after a brief fight with cancer, Dawn passed away with her loving family by her side at the St. Boniface Hospital. She leaves to mourn her son Shawn Weppler; daughter Tammy Johnson (Jeff); her grandchildren, Kendall and Cade; brother Ralph Pratt; sister Kathy Cambridge; grand-dogs, Kesa and Bear, as well as many relatives, friends and co-workers. Dawn was raised in Winnipeg's North end, River Heights and Charleswood. She attended school at Montrose, River Heights, Grant Park and Tec Voc. She worked at Motor Coach for 19 years and after restructuring, was employed by Boyd Autobody. She was on many committees at both places of employment always wanting to help and be involved. She loved her job(s) and the many people she worked with. She always tried to make her workplace fun. Through her compassion for people, she touched many lives. Her door was always open and was willing to help anyone in need. She could be your shoulder to cry on, a giver of advice, or just a great listener. Everyone knew that her grandchildren meant the world to her. She spent many hours baby-sitting, playing or telling stories. A kid at heart, she loved to dress up with them on Halloween and even go trick or treating. Every weekend her favourite thing to do was to watch her grandchildren play basketball. Oma rarely missed a game. She was definitely their biggest fan! Her favourite place to be was in The Bush . Going there was her escape from all of life's troubles. It was her time to relax, be with nature and spent time with her son and friends. Friends and family can celebrate her life Thursday, September 16, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at The Kirkfield Westwood Community Club, 165 Sansome Ave. Cremation has taken place. As per Dawn's request, her ashes will be scattered at The Bush with her family at a later date. Chapel Lawn 885-9715

Dawn was a great person to be around. Always a smile, giggle and laugh to be had with her. Lovely memories of our time touring the mid-west in the late 80's! Sorry I only just found out you left us. Todd - Posted by: Todd Cook (Close Friend) on: May 19, 2021

Dawn You were there in the very beginning, and again at the very end, in between life got in the way. You will always be a part of my life's present memories, and until we meet again, good night my dearest "Thumper" sleep in the arms of God. - Posted by: Rick Pacey (Very old friend) on: Aug 30, 2012
