ERVIN PETER KEHLER Peacefully on Monday, September 20, 2010, Ervin died at the Grace Hospital at the age of 62 years. Remaining to forever cherish his memory are his wife Elaine, of 43 years of marriage; sons, Vaughn, Ian (Marcus); his best furry friend, Rascal; brothers, Ron (Rosemary), twin brother, Elvin (Barb), Glen (Cindy); sisters, Linda McDermid, Colleen Columbus (Chris); as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ervin was predeceased by his brother, Wilf in 2003. Afflicted with polio at the age of four, Ervin struggled through many challenges in life but successfully met them all head on. One of his strongest assets was that he was always willing to help a friend, and was a proficient handyman. With the friendship and support of his co-workers, Ervin had a very successful career at Westinghouse/Siemens for 36 years as an electrical mechanic. Ervin's Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Provincial Room at the A.N.A.F. #283, 3584 Portage Avenue, 837-6708. The family would like to thank the ICU Unit at the Grace Hospital for their care and compassion and to all the Doctors who believed in Ervin throughout his years. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ervin's memory may be made to the ALS Society of Canada, 3000 Steeles Avenue East, Suite 200, Markham, ON L3R 4T9; Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg MB R3T 0R3, or a charity of one's choice.
