Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEPHANIE KORNY (1910 - 2010) Peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family and comforted by the Sacraments of the Holy Church, Stephanie Korny fell asleep in the Lord on September, 23, 2010 at Holy Family Home, Winnipeg. Stephanie was born in Winnipeg to parents Wasyl and Paraskevia Huywan on December 25, 1910. She was predeceased by her parents, one sister and three brothers. She is deeply mourned by her daughter Irene and husband Gerald McVay; her grandson Father Athanasius McVay; her sister Olga Prokop; nephews, nieces and many friends. Before entering the nursing home, Stephanie was a member of the UCWLC, first at St. Nicholas then at Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church. She also belonged to the Apostleship of Prayer group at St. Nicholas Church. Funeral will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 27 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. The family is most grateful for the excellent care administered to Stephanie by the SSMI sisters and by the staff and volunteers at Holy Family Home. VICHNAYA PAMYAT KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
