Lawrence was born in Woodridge, Mb on November 2, 1944, and for the past five years lived at Gull Lake. He is survived by his wife, Lois French, as well as by his two children, Rena and Robert and grandchildren Dena, Shaelyn, Abigail and Riley. For many years, Lawrence was a Stucco Contractor in Winnipeg. He was a gentle caring man who loved to tell stories over coffee, he loved to dance and socialize, and he was an avid football and hockey fan. He loved animals, especially his border collies. He carried pictures of his grandchildren in his wallet and bragged about them constantly they were very precious to him. He was the best husband I could ever wish for, my best friend, my buddy, my constant companion. We will miss him so very much. Special thanks to the staff at CancerCare and to the nurses at Selkirk Hospital for looking after him so well. There will be a memorial service on Thursday, October 14th at 2:00 p.m. at the Thalberg Trinity Lutheran Church.
