REGINALD GIBBS

REGINALD GIBBS Reg passed away peacefully on October 4, 2010, at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, British Columbia, at the age of 100 years. Born in Brandon, Manitoba, on February 12, 1910, and raised in Winnipeg, he was married to his wife Ann in 1933, who predeceased him in 1973. Following Ann's passing, Reg moved to North Vancouver where he lived on his own, unassisted, until the time of his passing. Throughout his life he was a dedicated father and grandfather, generous and caring. He was alert and always active, regularly out early in the morning for a walk about. Reg enjoyed watching televised sports, especially hockey and C.F.L. football. He will be deeply missed by his son Dennis of North Vancouver and his grandsons, Kelly and Patrick. He will also be remembered by his niece Valerie Klym of Arborg, Manitoba. A family graveside service was held on October 13, 2010, at Ocean View Burial Park in Burnaby, British Columbia, where Reg was laid to rest beside his beloved wife Ann.
