DENIS R. GARIEPY 1939 - 2010 Surrounded by his loving family Denis passed away on October 31, 2010. Denis is lovingly remembered by his wife Marlene; his children: Debbie (Dan) Parisien, son Rob, daughter Nicole; stepdaughters: Claire (Vince), Michelle (Dave), Lisa; grandchildren: Chris, Dana, Amanda, Jessica, Dylan, Taylor, Conner, Bretten, twins Carter and Cohen; grandma Lillian Jarvis. Also left to mourn his passing is his sister Olive, brothers Fern (Evelyn), Fr. Gilbert Gariepy, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Albert, mother Yvonne, sisters: Terry, Leola and Noella, and brother Leo. Denis was an employee of the City of Winnipeg, Pine Ridge Quarry for 35 years. He was an avid sports fan and loved watching his Montreal Canadiens. The family would like to express their thanks for the excellent care provided by the 8th Floor Palliative Care at St. Boniface Hospital and palliative in home care services. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. In keeping with Denis' wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Monday, November 8 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.
