DAVID MORGAN FAY
Date of Passing: Nov 06, 2010
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID MORGAN FAY It is with great sadness that we, the family of David Morgan Fay announce his passing on November 6, 2010 at 7:40 p.m. He was surrounded by his family and passed peacefully to be with the love of his life, his wife Margaret. He was a son, brother, nephew, uncle, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend. He was a proud member of the Merchant Navy and even a prouder member of the Royal Marine Commandos and a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge (in Scotland and in Canada Acacia Lodge 111). When told he was ill, he had three wishes: one was to get a puppy (Wooley came home August 9) two - see Bruce and Tara's house started (he watched them dig the basement - September 27) and to see his great-grandchild (Morgann Rose Elena who was born September 30). His sense of humour was outrageous and he saw the humour in every event, even when told he had only months to live, we will greatly miss that. His love of animals went beyond the norm and his canine family (Koddee, Chase, Vegas and Wooley) will miss him enormously. We will keep the bird feeders full for him as well. He leaves us with a legacy of integrity, humour, love and a true sense of right and wrong. His family, only child Margaret (husband Bruce), grandson Bruce (fiancée Tara), grandson Bryan (wife Colleen and daughter Morgann) miss him already. I would like to thank my husband Bruce for all he has done for my Dad, from being his friend and companion, to taking him to doctors and hospital appointments and for just being there for him, also Dr. Darcy Johnson and his staff for their care of mom and dad through the years, it was greatly appreciated. A private family interment will be held at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Flowers gratefully declined but please give a smile, a hug, a kiss or an I love you to someone everyday as you don't know if it will be your last time. Donations may be made in dad's name to CancerCare Manitoba, Heart and Stroke of Manitoba or to the Humane Society. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
