DOLORES LOUISA MCISAAC (nee MORRIS) November 4, 1942 - November 8, 2010 Dolores Louisa McIsaac (nee Morris) passed away peacefully on Monday, November 8, 2010 at the age of 68 at the Oakview Place Nursing Home. Dolores (aka Doll ) fought very hard but ultimately lost her 25 year battle with Huntington's Disease. She was predeceased by her husband Wayne in 2007. She leaves to mourn, her two children: Jay (Sylvia) and Kerri (Dave) and grandson Avery. Doll was predeceased by her childhood family. She was the youngest of three children from her parents Gertrude Law and Len Morris. Her two older brothers were Harold and Kenny Morris. Doll was born November 4, 1942 at the Grace Hospital. She grew up in Weston, on Logan Avenue, across from the Weston Community Club. She eventually met Wayne, who conveniently lived one street over on Alexander Avenue. Doll and Wayne got married on November 4, 1961. They settled down in St. James where they lived for 35 years on School Road. Doll was employed as a secretary at Joy Manufacturing before leaving the workforce to start her family. Doll also worked hard as a volunteer at Arthur Oliver School when Kerri and Jay were students there. She worked alongside Kerri at the Santa Claus castle at Unicity Mall. She spent most of her time as a homemaker. Doll ran a tight ship. Meals were always warm. Laundry was done daily. You could eat off the floors in her house. Being a homemaker was very dear to her heart and she continued her loving motherly role even into her last days. She was always one to put others needs and desires before her own. We will miss her kind heart, her courage and positive attitude. The family would like to thank the staff at Oakview Place Nursing Home. The care Doll received during her days at Oakview was excellent. The staff became a part of Doll's family, easing a trying and difficult time for us all. Funeral services will take place at St. Andrews Anglican Church, 2700 Portage Ave. on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Huntington Society of Canada.
