Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMANUEL S. D. GUERRA September 19th, 1944 - December 28th 2010 After a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of beloved husband, father and grandfather Manuel S. D. Guerra. He is survived by his wife Joci; sons Jose Manuel and Richard (Stephanie); grandchildren Nicholas and Sophia; siblings Jose Luis and Casimira (Licinio); brother-in-law to Odette (Joaquim), Bella (Jose); Uncle to Genna, Gi, Teresa (Bob), Luis, Nancy, Carla, Michelle (Ron) and Jose (Kelly); as well as all of his other friends and family here and in Portugal. Having arrived to Canada in 1967 he made his mark within the Portuguese community and the City of Winnipeg - both as a real estate/ broker of his own agency, and the proprietor of O Mundial Portuguese newspaper. He will be missed by all the people whose lives he touched; both as a business man, and as a friend to many in the community. Prayers will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church on Tuesday, January 4th at 8:00 p.m., with the funeral to follow Wednesday, January 5th at 10:00 a.m. The family would appreciate donations to CancerCare in lieu of flowers. We would also like to thank all the hardworking staff at the St. Boniface palliative care - you are angels. Gone but never forgotten, at peace but forever Guerra, we love you and will carry you forever in our hearts.
