LEONOR REIS 1941 - 2011 With sad hearts and wonderful memories, we announce the peaceful passing of our mother and grandmother Leonor Reis on January 1, 2011 at the age of 69. Surrounded by loved ones throughout her last days she so bravely started her journey home. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son Antonio (Nelia), granddaughters Brittany, Chelsea, Courtney, brother Humberto, as well as many other relatives and friends. She left us to join her husband of 44 years, Manuel who predeceased her in 2007. Her parents and sister Almorinda have also predeceased her. Leonor was born in Feijao De Cima, Sao Miguel Acores, immigrated to Canada in 1974 and started her life with her husband and son. She was a very special person, always there for her family, especially her son and granddaughters who were her pride and joy. She will always be remembered as a strong willed woman who always looked her best. The family would like to thank the palliative care team who visited her for their care and support shown to Leonor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON1160 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or to a charity of ones choice. Prayers will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin St. N. at 8:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held Friday, January 7 at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish.
