MARIA GUERRA With great sadness, the family announces the unexpected passing of Maria Guerra on January 3, 2011 at Middlechurch Home at 64 years of age. Maria leaves to cherish her memory her two loving children Lucy (Peter) and Horacio, along with her grandchildren Anthony and Serena, which she took great pride in helping raise and was very fortunate to watch them grow into fine young adults. She will also be remembered by numerous brothers, sisters, relatives and friends. Mom loved to sew, taking pride in her work. She always blessed us with her amazing home cooked meals. She looked forward to family get-togethers and treasured the special times with her grandchildren. Mom especially enjoyed this last Christmas we spent together as a family. Anyone who ever had the opportunity to meet her would have nothing but praise in her heartfelt compassion and outgoing nature. She always put others first. She will be sadly missed by all. She is gone but not forgotten and will be in our hearts forever. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 8 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy. Viewing will be held one-half hour prior to service. Msgr. Maurice Comeault presiding. The family wishes to thank Middlechurch Home, especially the staff on B2, for all their care and compassion given to our mother. In lieu of flowers, donations in Maria's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
