Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM STARK January 25 1918 - December 27 2010 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bill Stark, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Bill passed away peacefully at his home in Mill Bay, BC. He was predeceased in 2006 by his loving wife of 65 years, Betty. He leaves to mourn his passing: son Alan (Sheila) in England, daughter Anne (Dave) in B.C and their respective families, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews and their respective families in the U.K. and Australia. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Bill immigrated to Canada with his wife and daughter in 1966. Bill had a lifelong passion for music. From early in life he exhibited amazing musical knowledge. He continued to study opera and orchestral scores throughout his lifetime. English literature was another of his great loves it being the subject he chose to study at Glasgow University for his career choice of teaching. He was a lifelong avid reader and also an aficionado of drama. Gardening was a particular delight for Bill especially after retirement to Vancouver Island, where he grew some magnificent award-winning rose gardens. As a young man he taught Music, and later English and Mathematics in Glasgow. For many years until retirement he taught and was principal of several schools in the provinces of Alberta and Manitoba. Bill taught with the same enthusiasm with which he lived life, becoming a great mentor to many of his students. No service by request. Online condolences may be offered at www.hwwallacecbc.com. H.W.
