AGATHE LACASSE (nee LEVESQUE) Agathe Lacasse passed away peacefully with family by her side, on January 4, 2011 at the Repos Jolys in St-Pierre-Jolys, Manitoba at the age of 90 years. She leaves to mourn her passing, her nine children: RoseMarie (Larry Steinke), Guy (late Frances Sheffield), Norbert (Rita), Claire Lamoureux, René (Helene), Normand, Colette (Tim McMahon), Lucien and Jacques (Sandra), 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Agathe is also survived by one brother Alfred (Anita) and three sisters, Soeur Adrienne Lévesque S.N.J.M., Arnmande Faso and Léa Fenez. Agathe was born on August 2, 1920 in Aubigny, Manitoba. In 1942 she married Eudore Lacasse and together they lived and worked on the family farm. Agathe's small stature belied a strength of will and character that has served her throughout her life. She was a woman whose faith guided her through the difficult times. Mom will be remembered for her hard work, her generosity and for her commitment to family, always putting her children above all else. Her pastimes included baking and gardening, knitting, making puzzles and shopping at the thrift stores. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all of the staff at Repos Jolys. A special thank-you to Annette for her continued support, understanding and compassion towards Mom and her family. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at Eglise St-Viateur Church in Otterburne on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 11:00 am with Father Antoine Vo Van Hoa officiating.
