STANLEY POCIUK September 2, 1950 - January 6, 2011 After a short but courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness and deep sorrow we announce the loss of Stan Pociuk. Left to cherish his memory, his wife Linda of 40 years, his daughter Cindy and husband Andre, his two granddaughters, Denarah and Ireland, his son Kristjan and fiancé Jamie, along with many other close friends and family. Stan was a fiercely loyal friend, who took pleasure each day in always helping others before himself. An avid Jack of all Trades - there was no project too big or small for Stan, nor any project he couldn't or wouldn't do for his family or one of his friends. A man full of integrity, trust and loyalty, he will be sadly missed. A Memorial Service in celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, January 11, 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 1531 Pembina Hwy.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • It is my condolences to hear such bad news. Cynthia was a friend of mine a long time ago. We lost touch. Cynthia, if these words find you, please email me at mnlight66 at gmail.com Michael N, - Posted by: michael N (Friend) on: Feb 29, 2012

  • My fondest memories of Stanley go back to the early 80's at Videon when he was my first night shift partner, I'm sure there is a book deal in there somewhere! We shared many a meal and swapped many interesting stories. I remember his generosity and friendliness but above all - his genuine love and commitment to Linda, Cindy and Kris. May God grant him eternal peace and give strength to Linda and family. - Posted by: Derek Fingler (Co-Worker) on: Jan 10, 2011

  • I think of Stanley as a thoughtful and generous person. One example that comes to mind is when I had my flower shop. Having sold his house in Transcona, he called me to order "a really beautiful plant" to be sent to the new occupants. He was sending his best wishes to the new owners. I fondly remember the barbeques on Ravelston with Stan, Linda and the children. Stanley was a friendly and gracious host. It was good to have known him. - Posted by: Leslie Fingler (Friend) on: Jan 08, 2011
