Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLAIRE FOUILLARD It is with great sadness that the family of Claire Fouillard (nee Larocque) announces her passing on the morning of January 5th, 2011. Claire passed away peacefully at the Russell District Health Centre at the age of 77 years. Claire was the sixth eldest of 15 children. She was born on February 2nd, 1933 to the late Jeanne (Legros) and Ernest Larocque of Pinewood, Ontario. She is survived by her beloved husband Alexandre Fouillard from St. Lazare, Manitoba whom she married on April 15, 1953. Mom and Dad were married for 57 wonderful years. She is lovingly remembered by her children; Nicole (Yves Descottes), Ginette (Vern Poworoznyk), Prudence (Bill Owens), Frank, Yvon (Lynn James), Louis (Valerie Johnston), Elie, Joceline, Laurent (Laurie), Andre and Mireille. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren whom she cherished with all her heart. Mom was predeceased by her parents Jeanne (Legros) and Ernest Larocque; sisters Florise, Estelle, Rhea, Jeanine and Marie-Therese. She is survived by her siblings: Fernande, Aline, Lorraine, Robert, Roland, Lina, Yolande, Noel and Angele. She always kept a close knit relationship and enjoyed their many visits and reunions with family. Mom will always be remembered for her homemaking skills, her great work ethic and organizational skills. She loved to knit many a toque, mitts and scarves for her children, grandchildren and even the new-born babies for the hospital maternity wards. She loved a good card game, had many cherished friends who came over for a quick visit, but ended up extending their visit over coffee and many sweet treats. Her grandchildren and great- grandchildren gave her much joy in her life. They always made her smile and gave her much pride. We will miss you dearly Mom, loving wife, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. You've now earned your wings with the Lord your Saviour. Rest in Peace. Prayer services were held on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. from the St. Lazare Roman Catholic Church. The funeral service was held on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. from the St. Lazare Roman Catholic Church with Father Rene Katcha Digba officiating. Interment followed in the St. Lazare Cemetery. If friends so desire donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
