CAMILLA JULIA PLOURDE 1944 - 2011 We honour a great lady and applaud a life well lived. Camilla was granted her angel wings at home on January 11, 2011 when she peacefully passed away in her sleep. She was predeceased by her mother and father and leaves to mourn her partner Cindy of 28 years, her best friend Nellie and her cats Sonic and Ripples, many loving brothers and sisters, precious nephews and nieces as well as many friends. Camilla was born in Portland, Maine and moved to Winnipeg in 1972. During her years in Winnipeg she enjoyed her many different careers working at the Medical Arts building, Crown Life Insurance, CAA Manitoba and finally retiring from Canada Safeway in 2010. Camilla was a vibrant woman who lived life to the fullest and there was not a person or animal that wasn't drawn to her kindness and charm. She will surely be missed by family and friends. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the wonderful doctors and nurses at the Health Sciences Centre. A celebration of Camilla's life will be held at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame (across from Brookside Cemetery), on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Cancer Care Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Avenue, Rm ON1160, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9 would be appreciated.
