DORIS MAY ENGEL (nee Edwards) January 27, 1928 - January 12, 2011 Doris Engel, age 82, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2011, at the Victoria Hospital. Doris was predeceased by her parents, her husband Rene, her son Rick, her sister Mary, and brothers Billy, Norman and Denis. She is survived by her children: Chris (Linda), daughter-in-law Kathy, Janice (Bob) Sadler, and Jeffrey (Tracy); grandchildren: Trevor (Stéphanie), Tyler (Taryn), Keith (Brandy); Andrea (Mark) Fischer, Michelle (Weylin) Gilewich, Heidi (Steve) Csaszar; René (Erik) Coatta, Melanie (Jason) Ducharme, Danielle (Adam), and Kristopher, Trecia, Richard, Paul, and Tariku as well as seven great-grand-children. Also surviving are: sisters Norma (Alan) Galbraith, Audrey (Tom) Azama; sister-in-law Florence Edwards; sister and brother-in-law Betty and Jerry Vermette and numerous nieces and nephews. Doris lived most of her life in St. Vital. She enjoyed her family, friends, gardening and her church. The family wishes to thank the staff of Victoria Hospital, 3 South, for their care and compassion. A celebration of Doris' life will be held on Monday, January 17 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Mark's Anglican Church, 19 St. Mark's Place.
