JOAN GLORIA GOVIA 1931 2011 Passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 11, 2011. She was predeceased by her husband Gene Govia in 1981. Joan leaves to cherish her memory her children: Geoffrey (Jeannine), Joan (Seamus), Charmaine (Lindsay), Derrice (Michael), Adrian (Kay), Simone (Lindsay), Nicholas (Catherine) and Nicole (Wayne), 20 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter (and one on the way). She also leaves her mother and five siblings, two sisters (one deceased) and three brothers, a nephew in Winnipeg, Aldwyn (Louise), their two children and two grandchildren. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Program and staff for their compassionate care, also to Dr. Unruh and staff. Funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the St. Boniface Cathedral, 190 ave de la Cathédrale. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
