JOSEPH SAMUEL GIBSON Peacefully on Wednesday, January 12th, 2011, surrounded by love and with his family by his side, Joe passed away at Riverview Health Center after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph Sr. and Bertha. Joe is survived by his loving wife Marie (Dagdick) of 44 years, his only daughter Tracey Lawrence, her husband Jason and his beloved grandson Rockford (Rocky). Born and raised in Hamilton, Ont. he began his career in broadcasting there before moving to Winnipeg in 1960 for the opening of CJAY-TV later CKY and now CTV retiring after 35 years as Operations Manager. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the many friends and family for their prayers and support also thanks to the wonderful staff at Riverview Health Care Center 3E for their wonderful care and kindness shown to Joe during his brief stay. Respecting Joe's wishes there will be no Formal Service. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations in Joe's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
