RITA DOROTHY ROBERTS April 2, 1921 - January 12, 2011 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Rita Dorothy Roberts on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 89 years. Rita was predeceased by her husband Jim in 1988 and daughter Sheila in 1999. Rita was born in Eastbourne, England on April 2, 1921. Left to cherish Rita's memory are her daughter Carol (Hal), son Peter (Debbie), daughter Diane (Garry) and daughter-in-law Christine, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. God saw you getting weary and he knew you felt alone as he walked beside you hand in hand along the pathway home. Celebration of Rita's life will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 in the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue, West at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Rita's name to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation (which may be left at the Funeral Chapel) or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
