HENRY JAMES CHARTRAND (JINX) It is with deep sadness that the family of Henry James Chartrand, age 63, announce his untimely passing on Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Stonewall Hospital. He leaves to mourn his sons Kevin (Karen) and Calvin (Christa), and grandchildren Logan and Carly. He is survived by his siblings Elsie (Roy), Doreen, Shirley (Cliff), Don (Mildred), Chris, Valerie and Charlene and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Mary Bridal and Alma and Paul Richard, mother-in-law Ma and father-in-law Pa Winterer and brother-in-law Erwin. Henry was born July 19, 1947 in Winnipeg and grew up in Steep Rock, MB where he obtained his education and was known as Jinx. At the age of 17 he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and was stationed in Gimli, after which he moved to Winnipeg to start a family and new life. He loved camping, boating, water skiing, and fishing. He enjoyed his trips to Steep Rock to camp and visit family and friends, and his many weekends with Ma and Pa . Henry worked at many jobs and touched the lives of many while doing so. In his later years, he worked for the Seven Oaks School Division while living in Teulon - which he loved. All who knew and loved Henry will remember him as very helpful, friendly, humorous, spiritual, and genuine. He had such a big heart and was always more than willing to help anyone in need - whatever that need that might be. YOU WILL BE MISSED AND LOVED FOREVER. Funeral services for Henry will be held at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Teulon, MB at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2011. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
