Date of Passing: Dec 15, 2010
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMITCHELL KRASNOWSKI It is with sadness we announce the passing of Mitchell Krasnowski, age 92 on December 15, 2010. Mitch is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis; daughter Brenda Hasiuk; grand-daughter Lori (Chris) and great-grandchildren. In his youth, Mitch had a passion for hockey, playing on as many as five teams in one season. His second love was swimming; consequently our travelling took us to the Caribbean and the southern U.S. He also enjoyed his bridge games at the senior clubs and with family. Mitch joined the R.C.A.F. on July 17, 1940. He served in England during the war and returned home January 1946. Mitch joined the Winnipeg Fire Department, August 1, 1946 and retired August 8, 1982. Mitch was a member of the Ukrainian Branch #141 Legion for 60 years. Mitch was a kind, good-hearted man, who treated everyone fairly and equally. We thank Dr. Peter Kuegle for his kind, respectful care and Korban Funeral Home for their assistance. Cremation has taken place and a private service will take place in the spring. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in Mitch's memory can be made to the United Firefighters Burn Fund, 303-83 Garry Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3G 4J9 or a charity of one's choice.
