Date of Passing: Jan 24, 2011
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTANLEY SCHAWORSKI It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of our father on Monday, January 24, 2011. Stan, as he was known, was born on the family farm in Birdtail, Manitoba. He grew up and farmed for many years and in that time he met Adeline and began a family. They moved to Winnipeg in 1956 where he worked tirelessly hauling cars across the country, delivering concrete, building houses in Thompson and applying his adept skills as a mechanic. The family moved to Rossburn to farm in 1968 and lived there until Stan retired and moved back to Winnipeg, building himself and Adeline a home, where he lived until his passing. He travelled overseas to New Zealand and Australia many times to visit family. He had a great sense of humour and loved talking to people. He hit a baseball like a pro, raised the healthiest and largest cattle, enjoyed a good game of pool and watching Hockey Night in Canada. A man of integrity and pride. A dedicated father. A life well spent. Stanley is predeceased by his loving wife Adeline, his grandson Aloysha Verbowski and step-grandson Scott Bangsund. Also his brothers Joe, Richard, John; sister Mary Saley and his parents Karol and Annie. He is deeply missed by his children Ramona, Edythe, Geraldine, Stanley, Barry, Brian; his sister Frances; 20 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous close family and friends. His memorial service will be held at the Ukrainian Peoples Home in Rossburn on Monday, January 31 at 11:00 a.m. All welcome. To leave a message please check out http://stanley2011.wikispaces.com
