IRMA MAY EHRHART (nee JONES) November 13, 1922 - January 21, 2011 The family of Irma May Ehrhart sadly announces the passing of their dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on January 21, 2011 at Royal City Manor in New Westminster, BC. Predeceased by her beloved husband Raymond, she will be deeply missed by her son Larry (Kathy); daughter Linda (Tony); grandson Kirk (Abby); and great-granddaughters, Rebekah and Hannah. Mom was born in La Riviere, Manitoba but spend most of her life in Winnipeg, where she met Dad and where they married in 1947. After Dad's passing in 1982, she moved to Vancouver to be closer to her children and other family members living in BC. Our Mom was a great and beautiful lady, so kind and gentle and the best Mom anyone could ask for. Growing up, our home was always open to our friends, many of whom affectionately referred to her as Mrs. E . She loved to spend weekends camping and fishing with Dad, and ultimately, they built a cabin together on Lake Winnipeg to share with friends and family. Mom was famous for her shortbread cookies, butter tarts and apple pie, and her knitted slippers were always in high demand. Unfortunately, the last few years of Mom's life were tormented by the ever advancing pain and confusion of dementia, so we pray that she is now at peace. The family would like to thank the staff of Royal City Manor for their care and attention to our Mom, especially the staff of West II. There will be no formal service but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be advised.
