EVELYN CARPENTIER (nee ST. PIERRE) February 3, 1929 - January 27, 2011 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Evelyn Carpentier on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 81. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Denis (Barb), Maureen (Mark) McLeod, Suzanne (Mario) Carloni; and daughter-in-law Lenka; as well as grandchildren, Shannon, Nicole, Amanda, Kyle, Jenna, Aaron, Anthony and Paige. She is also survived by sisters, Gladys, Therese, Helen, Annette (Roger); brother Roger (Judy); sisters-in-law, Rose, Eva (Rod), Eileen; brother-in-law Art, as well as many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Maurice; son Roger; and siblings, Jeannette, Alice and Frankie. Mom was born and raised in St. Boniface and attended Holy Cross School. She met and married the love of her life Maurice in 1951 and they enjoyed 45 years together. Once the children were in school, Mom started working at St. Amant Centre and retired after 20 years. In keeping with Evelyn's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial mass celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, February 1, at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St. with interment to follow in St. Boniface Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
