Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER PENNER January 21, 1919 - January 29, 2011 Walter Penner, eldest son of the late Jacob and Rose Penner of Winnipeg died peacefully in Toronto at the age of 92, with his two children, Lori and Mark, at his side. Walter was predeceased by his parents and his brother Norman (Norma) of Toronto. He is survived by his brother Roland of Winnipeg, sister Ruth of Montreal, his loving wife of 67 years Gladys (Pawlowski), his two children Lori (Daryl Vernon), Mark (Roxana Olivera) and five grandchildren: Cossette, Eric, Rachel, Micah and Zachary and a recently born great-granddaughter Adina Ilana Heller. Walter was a cheerful and loving person able to overcome any obstacle he encountered during his long life. He once summed up his personal philosophy: "For your family you do everything you can and for anyone else anything you can." He will be missed.
