Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER (WLADYSLAW) STEPIEN February 4, 1920 - January 29, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Walter on Saturday, January 29, 2011. Walter is survived by his three daughters, Elizabeth, Barbara (Steve) and Maria. Elizabeth was his primary caregiver since 2001. Dad was born and raised in Opoczno, Poland and immigrated to Canada in October 1950. He worked for the City of Winnipeg for 28 years. The Polish community was very important to him and he supported the Holy Ghost Church, the Holy Ghost Fraternal Aid Society, the Polish Royal Canadian Legion 246, and Club 13. In keeping with Dad's wishes, no formal service will take place. A Graveside service will take place on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main St. All those wishing to attend may do so.
