GERALD (JERRY) HARVEY COOKE March 9, 1948 - January 29, 2011 Peacefully, with family by his side, on January 29, 2011, Gerald (Jerry) Harvey Cooke, passed away at the E. M. Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale, MB. Jerry was born in Yorkton, SK and shortly thereafter moved to Togo, SK where he spent his early years. His family moved to Prince Albert for a few years before returning to Yorkton. At the age of 20 he moved to Thompson, MB where he worked until his retirement in 2003. He retired in Eriksdale, MB. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoor life whether it be snowmobiling, hunting, four wheeling, boating or fishing - seeing fun in everything he did. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by family and friends. Jerry is survived by his wife Marlee; sons, Shane (Mary-Ann) and Sheldon (Donna); grandchildren, Darius, Julianna, William, Isabella, Tanner and Brady; sister, Gayle along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and mother William and Mae Cooke. A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Eriksdale Recreational Centre with Melanie Kauppila officiating. Interment to follow in the Eriksdale Municipal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc., Room ON1160, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
