FRANCES GAGALUK Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Frances passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at the age of 95. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Jessie) and Peter; her grandchildren, Cheryl (Frank), Darren, Todd, Lisa and great-granddaughters, Mykayla and Chantel. She is also survived by her brothers, Joe (Erica), Bill (Mary); sisters, Irene, Mary (Steve); sister-in-law Leanna and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Alexander in November 1954; her parents, Pauline and Joseph; her brothers, Stan, Edward and sister Ann. Mom (Baba, Great-Baba) was born on April 1, 1915. She loved to craft lots of beautiful items as well as share her love of Ukrainian cooking with her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, showcasing her love of flowers and tomatoes. She was a long-time volunteer with Age and Opportunity. A special thank you to the EMS team who assisted Mom and Baba in her time of need as well as the wonderful staff at Health Sciences Centre who took great care of her. Your kindness and compassion will not be forgotten. A very sincere thank you to all who shared Frances's life in many ways. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at a later date.
