DIANA DESAUTELS February 4, 1952 - February 4, 2011 Peacefully, on Friday, February 4, 2011, with her mother by her side, Diana passed away at the Grace Hospital, in Winnipeg, at the age of 59 years. Diana ( Ma Fille ) leaves to mourn her passing her mother Celina, and brothers Arthur (Monique), Reynald (Terry) and Robert, as well as nephews Michael and Andre, and nieces Nicole and Katie. She was predeceased by her father Rene, and stepfather Arthur. Diana was a caring, loving person who always helped her family, roommates and friends, as well as other mentally and physically challenged friends and acquaintances that she came into contact with. She was previously employed by ARC Industries, Versatech and WASO, and was enjoying retirement of the last few years. She enjoyed her spare time listening to music of the past (loved Elvis) and vintage TV shows (especially M*A*S*H, The Honeymooners, I Love Lucy and All in The Family). She loved to work on her scrapbooks and doing various activities, crafts and artwork (ie. Crosswords, Hookrug and previously ceramics). Diana's family would like to thank St. Amant Centre and all the special staff who provided care and companionship to Diana at her home. They would also like to thank the care Diana received at St. Boniface General Hospital as well as the Grace Hospital; in particular the Doctors, Clinical Manager and staff at Grace's ICU. Your care and compassion throughout Diana's illness were greatly appreciated. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 4588 Roblin Blvd. at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, family and friends are invited to make donations to St. Amant Centre, 440 River Road, Winnipeg, MB R2M 2P6, or a charity of your choice.
