STELLA ANNE PARSON Our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, after a brief illness. Stella was born in Poland on February 22, 1926, the youngest child of Maria and Michael Forytarz, and grew up in St. Boniface. Predeceased by her husband, John, her parents, brothers Johnny and Eddie, and close sister-in-law Helen. Stella leaves her three daughters and their families: Terry and Tom Tylka, Tammy, Tasha and Talia; Monica and Jim Frater, Michelle and Kim; and Glori and Jim Slater, Jeff and Riley. She also leaves her sister, Nellie Dronzek, four great-grand-children, nieces and nephews, and close friend, Jadweiga Goral. Stella instilled in all of us her commitment to family and to the value of work. She loved to shop, and some of our best memories are of family holidays to Grand Forks. A highlight of her life was her 2005 family trip to Poland. Her circle of friends included schoolmates, work colleagues, and members of the Holy Ghost Fraternal Aid Society. Stella will be remembered for her sense of humour, determination, and strong independent nature. Prayers at 10:30 a.m. and Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 18, at Blessed Sacrament Church, 710 Roanoke St., Transcona. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Stella's name to Grace Hospice.
