LAUREL ALEXANDER SHARPE (Three Piece) May 31, 1923 - February 3, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved father, husband, uncle, grandfather and friend. Laurel was 87 years old. Laurel Alexander was born and raised in Manchester, Jamaica West Indies, where he was married to (the late) Muriel Shaw. Laurel immigrated to Canada in 1978 to join his wife and his family. He remained in Winnipeg until the day he left the world. Laurel was a talented construction worker (Mason). He also enjoyed fishing and talking about politics. Laurel has always been religious, however it was after the passing of his wife that he became dedicated to his faith. Laurel leaves to mourn his son Herman and his daughter Hyacinth, son-in-law Grantley Goulbourne, brother Stanford, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral service will be held at Glen Eden Memorial Garden, 4477 Main Street on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. (viewing) and 11:00 a.m. (service).
