LEE-ANNE JOAN LONGLEY January 25, 1960 - February 13, 2011 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lee-Anne Longley (nee Andrews). In January 2011, Lee-Anne was diagnosed with urothelial cancer. Six short weeks later, at St. Boniface Hospital, on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 7:20 a.m., we lost the best daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and friend in the world. Lee-Anne will be lovingly remembered by her husband Bill Longley; daughters, Lindsay and Brittany; parents, Brian and Shirley Andrews; her only brother Rick (Linda) Andrews; nephews, Brody and Ryley; mother-in-law Elsie Longley; in-laws, Robert (Debbie), Cecil (Carol), Judy (Ernie), Jacqueline, Debbie (Keith), Donna, Joanne (Dwight), Lisa (Ken), Jason, numerous nephews and nieces; best friends, Kim and Tom Saskosky; and pets, Shadow, Gizmo and Porsha. One of her greatest joys was her job as a school bus driver with River East Transcona School Division. She loved driving her bus kids on bus #3, and her friends at Transportation held a special place in her heart. The Big Whiteshell also meant so much to her, as spending time there during the summer months with her family and great friends, or simply with a good book, was one of her favourite things to do. Special thanks to all the staff of the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit for providing Lee-Anne with exceptional care. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 19 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Legion #215, 3600 DeVries Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lee-Anne's memory to St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
