RITA SKAGFELD Peacefully, Rita Skagfeld passed away on February 15, 2011. Left to treasure her memory are special friend Bert Nicholls; son Garry Diell (Diane), grandchildren Dennis, Pam and Lisa. Daughter-in-law Shyrlene Diell, grandchildren Holly, Rhonda, Ronnie, Jason, Harold; and numerous great-grandchildren. Sister Henriette Beaudin and many nieces and nephews. Rita was predeceased by her first husband Mel Diell, second husband Harold Skagfeld, son Ron Diell as well as numerous sisters and brothers. Rita was born on February 14, 1921, she was the second last survivor of a family of seventeen. As a young girl she loved baseball and dancing. She had an abundant love for all her family and friends. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved cooking meals for her family. She enjoyed many vacations to Las Vegas and BC. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. A service officiated by Melanie Kauppila will take place on Wednesday, February 23 at 2:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel 433 Main Street, Stonewall. Cremation has already taken place. A private burial will be held at a later date. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Burnet, Dr. Arara and the entire staff at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale.
