JUDITH FEIST After a courageous battle with cancer Judith Feist passed away peacefully on Monday, February 14, 2011. Left to mourn Judith's memory are son Dean; granddaughter Emily Bourgeois; brother Randy Montanti (Susan); nephew Justin (Jamie) and their children Natalie and Isabelle; niece Andrea and her son Morgan; niece Barbara Davis (Robert) and son Donovan; brother Gerry Montanti (Carol) and nephew Sean Carr; brother Martin Montanti (Lori) and nephews Anthony and Andrew; as well as Aunt Rose and Uncle Steve Glowach; numerous cousins and extended family. She was predeceased by her loving parents Anne and Lou Montanti. Judith was born April 17, 1949 in Regina. She was a no nonsense person who also enjoyed life and laughter and loved her family, friends and co-workers dearly. A believer in continuing education, she studied at The University of Toronto, Queen's University, Kingston and Red River Community College (formerly MIT) and, at the time of her death, was employed in the Labour Relations sector with the Manitoba Government Treasury Board Secretariat. In her spare time Judith loved to paint and was proud to share her works of art with family and friends. She enjoyed spending the occasional evening with a group of very good friends at Saffron's and was grateful for their compassion during her illness. On Saturday, February 26, 2011 a remembrance of Judith's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue, Winnipeg, MB. The family wishes to thank to all the doctors, nurses and staff at the Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital, St. Boniface Hospital and Riverview Palliative Care Unit for providing such wonderful care to Judith throughout her illness. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in Judith's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
