JESSIE ELIZABETH MORRISON (nee BARKER) December 16, 1915 February 18, 2011 After a good life of 95 years, Jessie passed away peacefully at Rosewood Lodge, Stonewall. Predeceased by beloved husband Charlie and son Jimmy. Survived by son Doug (Ruby) and daughter Carol. Also sister Margaret (John) Cramb. Nieces Gwen (Gordon) and Anne, also several cousins and friends. Jessie was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Lilyfield. She attended Phipps School. She married Charlie in 1947 and lived on the family farm until 1989, when she moved to Lions Manor. Over the years she enjoyed sewing and various crafts such as macramé and paper toll. Many thanks to the staff at Rosewood, Francis Holm and MacKenzie's. A special thank-you to the late Glen Durant for the help he gave her over the years. Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be interred beside her husband in Lilyfield Cemetery at a later date by the immediate family. A memorial service will be held at MacKenzie's Funeral Chapel in Stonewall on Thursday, February 24 at 1:00 p.m. Anyone wishing to make a donation can do so to Rosewood Lodge or a charity of your choice.
