NADA FRKETIC March 17, 1934 - February 21, 2011 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Nada Frketic (née Vranic) on February 21, 2011, in Pula, Croatia. She was predeceased by husband Anton (Tony) in May 2010. Nada leaves to cherish her memory daughter Neda (Mladen Petracic), grandsons Vjeran and Ivan; son Joseph (Magda Szajcz), grandsons Aleksandor and Gabriel; brothers Ivan (Anna) Vranic, Joseph Vranic; sisters Anna Trbuscic, Maria (Maca) Buric, and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. Nada was a devoted wife and mother who gave everything of herself to her family. Tony and Nada retired to Funtana, Croatia, in the spring of 2009 and enjoyed their time spent with extended family. She especially loved to make cherry strudel from the cherries that Tony would pick from a nearby cherry tree. A funeral mass was held on Friday, February 25, in Duga Resa, Croatia, followed by interment beside Anton in the beautiful hills near the village in which she was born.
