Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND HOWARD August 26, 1931 - February 26, 2011 It is with great sadness that our family wishes to announce that Raymond Howard entered into his eternal rest at the age of 79. Ray was predeceased by his father Roy, mother Olga, brother Allan, and wife of 51 years, Doreen. He leaves to cherish his memory, his only child Susan, her husband Ken, and their children, Nicholas and Brittany Kulik as well as friends too numerous to mention. Raymond worked at Manitoba Bridge for more than 40 years before retiring at the age of 63. After retiring, he enjoyed carving with his friend/neighbour Jack and mall walking at Kildonan Place with his group of friends in The Trekkers . Special heartfelt thanks to Keith and Botchi who continued to visit him almost daily after he was hospitalized and no longer able to join them at the mall. Words cannot express how grateful we are for everything you did for Ray over the many years you were friends. Special thanks also to Drew McNabb for the extra care and attention given to Ray during his two month stay in the Concordia Hospital and to Dr. Pilat and Dr. Mihalchuk for all your help, understanding and guidance during this difficult time. In accordance with Raymond's wishes, cremation has taken place. The immediate family respectfully wishes time to privately mourn our loss and as such there will be no funeral service at this time. A graveside prayer service will be held at a later date in the spring. Flowers gratefully declined, should friends desire, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Society of Manitoba. In tears we saw you sinking we watched you fade away. You suffered much in silence, and fought so hard to stay. But God prepared a place for you, where your pains and sorrows could cease. Where goodness and joy would surround you, and you'd be at perfect peace. It broke our hearts to let you go, but you did not go alone, for you took a part of us with you, when our Saviour called you home. DADDY I know that you never fully got over losing Mom and although we were close and you had many friends, we know how lonely you felt and take some small comfort in knowing that you are together again. Please give Mom a kiss from all of us and know that we will miss you both everyday until we meet you both again. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website.
