SEEPERSAD (SAM) MAHASE May 12, 1941 - February 23, 2011 With heavy hearts and great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our father, Seepersad (Sam) Mahase, while surrounded by family on February 23, 2011 at St. Boniface Hospital. He was 69. He leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Geeta, daughters Karen and Kammi, and only son Darryl (Jose). He is predeceased by parents Bheema and Doolarie, and eldest sister Myra. He also leaves behind brothers Ramjit, Rampersad, Chilo, Balram, Raleigh, and sisters Bobo, Indra, Soonai, Golly, Betty, Joyce, and Dood, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Our father was born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago and immigrated to Canada in 1970. He was a dignified, distinguished and well respected human being. He was a simple man who enjoyed the simplest in life. He embodied a quiet soul that illuminated from the warmth and sincerity of his warm smile. He loved his craft of sewing and for over 50 years, tailoring was his life. We hope that he has found the peace and tranquility he so rightfully earned, and so humbly deserves. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him, especially by his wife and children. Please donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Liver Foundation to aid in further research in his loving memory. Funeral services will be held on March 3, 2011 at the Thomson Funeral Home, located at 669 Broadway, on the corner of Broadway and Sherbrook, beginning at 11:00 a.m. THOMSON FUNERAL HOME 669 BROADWAY, WINNIPEG, MB R3C OX4 783-7211 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsonfuneralchapel.com
