JAMES ROBERT FINLAYSON It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Robert Finlayson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, on March 6, 2011 at the age of 77 in Winnipeg. James will be lovingly remembered by his children: daughters Karen and Carol; sons Jerry, David, James (Linda); 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Florence and daughter Judy. James was born in Prince Rupert, BC on March 21, 1933. He travelled east to Winnipeg at the age of 20, where he met Florence and they married on Mother's Day, May 13, 1952. James had a great sense of humour and would do anything for anyone at any time. He was very friendly and his good nature attracted people to him. He will be fondly remembered by all. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 8 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In keeping with his wishes, the family will have a graveside service on Thursday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Brookside Cemetery. Reception will follow at Apartment 107-20 Pipeline Road. Donations may be made in James' memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. We know Dad is at peace with our beloved mother. He will live forever in our hearts with our memories. We truly have been blessed... We love you Dad. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
