FRANK (FOTI) HROUSALAS It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dearly loved husband, father and grandfather. Frank's memory will be forever cherished by his devoted wife of 45 years Aphrodite, his loving children Jim (Dina) and Christina (Terry) and his adored grandchildren Foti, Strati, Tia and Andreas. Frank is also survived by his much loved brothers Antoni (Eleni) in Manari, Greece, Gus (Belle-Marie) in Toronto, Ontario, sister-in-law Nina, Thessaloniki, Greece, brother-in-law Taki (Pitsa) Glikovrisi, Greece, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and good friends. Frank was born in his beloved Manari, Arkadias, Greece on August 6, 1930. Upon receiving his high school diploma Frank proudly served for the Hellenic Army. He immigrated to Canada in 1955 and married Aphrodite on January 15, 1966. Together they built a joyful life in Winnipeg filled with faith, family, laughter, celebrations, travel, and the Greek community. Dad will forever be remembered for his gentle, easy-going nature, his quiet sense of humour and his genuine contentment of life. The family wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the compassion and support of the many friends, doctors, nurses and health care workers that assisted Frank in maintaining a quality of life over the various stages of his 14 years of living with Parkinson's disease. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday March 10, 2011 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2255 Grant Avenue. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2011 also at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. Memorial donations can be made to the Parkinson Society Manitoba at 7-414 Westmount Drive, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2J 1P2 or to the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church at 2255 Grant Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3P 0S2.
