RONALD HILL September 5, 1933 - March 5, 2011 It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ronald Hill, at the age of 77, with family at his side. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Lillian (nee Valenta), and special nieces, Carol Wilson and Teri Starsiak, who held a special place in his heart. Ron is also survived by his sisters, Flo and Hazel, as well as other nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his mother Sadie, stepfather Les Beerling, and brother Clarence. As a youth, Ron was very involved in sports, particularly baseball and hockey. In later years, he took up golf, which he enjoyed so much, and in his 60s, he achieved his black belt in Tae Kwon Do, which he was very proud of. At the age of 21, Ron built his own home, which, after many renovations and remodels, he still resided in with Lil until the time of his passing. Ron was a plumber by trade and worked hard all of his life. With any spare time he had, he began to build what is now a beautiful cottage, where he eventually was able to relax, put his feet up and watch the sunsets. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Cremation has taken place, and a private family memorial service will be held.
