Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY ANN MCLACHLAN (nee DOLL) January 17, 1943 - March 7, 2011 With family by her side, our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, Baba', and dear friend passed into the arms of our Lord on March 7, 2011 with the same quiet dignity that she lived her life. Mary Ann was predeceased by her mother Agnes and her father Alex, she is survived by her loving husband Graham, her daughter Lynn (Christian) Girardin, her brothers, John (Val) and David (Jeannette) and her sister Agnes (Dave) Schillingford, as well as her grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mary Ann was born in Winnipeg at Misericordia Hospital, or as she used to joke, I was born in Miseri . Mary Ann graduated from St. Adolphe Convent in 1959 and moved to Oakville, Ontario in 1962, to pursue her career, first with Diversey and later with Air Canada in Toronto, where she met the love of her life, her dear Graham. They were married in Red Deer, Alberta on December 5, 1992 and had their marriage blessed at Holy Cross Church, her childhood Parish, in Norwood, on March 31, 1995. Following their retirement from Air Canada, they returned to her home town of Winnipeg. Mary Ann and Graham found joy and fulfillment through their mutual enjoyment of visiting display homes, which led to retirement careers for both of them in real estate. Mary Ann had impeccable taste and was an avid collector of fine pieces of art -- Lladro and Royal Doulton figurines and Lilliput Lane Cottages, as well as many lovely paintings, including several done by Graham's father, Bert. Mary Ann was well travelled and enjoyed many cruises with Graham, often accompanied by dear friends and travelling companions over the past decade or so. It is testimony to their friendly ways that they made friends all along their life's journey and hosted many fondly remembered get-togethers. They shared a loving and devoted relationship of 18 years. Mary Ann will be greatly missed by her loving husband Graham, her dear family and wide circle of friends, so many of whom were able to be with her during her hospital stay. The family would like to thank the staff of 4 South and 5 South Palliative Care of Victoria Hospital. Prayers will be held in St. Vital Parish, 1629 Pembina Hwy., on Monday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be held in St. Vital Parish, with Fr. Barry Schoonbaert officiating, on Tuesday, March 15 at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Christian and Lynn Girardin, Shannon and Sebastien Popieul and Michael and Carrie Shillingford.
